The Gaelic Athletic Association Gaelic Players Association All Stars Young Hurler of the of the Year known for sponsorship reasons as the Vodafone Young Hurler of the Year is a hurling award that honours the achievements of a young hurler of outstanding excellence. The award is part of the GAA All Stars Awards, in which a "fantasy team" is picked, comprising the best players from the Hurling Championship. Voting for the award is undertaken by a select group of journalists from television and the print media.[1] The award itself is one of the most prestigious accolades in Gaelic games.To be considered a Young hurler a player must be able to compete in the current years Under 21 championship[2]
